Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager, the Systems Engineer III is responsible for the design, engineering and deployment of Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, and Applications for InnovAge and its affiliates.  This includes the operational handoff, applicable documentation and training around new environments for other support teams. This position maintains the security, availability, performance and backup of all related systems in accordance with InnovAge policies and procedures.

 

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

Functional Category:  Infrastructure Services

Estimated Percent of time Spent – 100%

  • Implement, configure, monitor, optimize, and manage data storage platforms (NAS/SAN, Hyper-Converged, etc.)
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and management of Cloud Infrastructure, storage, virtualization and new InnovAge topologies and infrastructure as needed, in order to support maximum system availability of all InnovAge applications.
  • Provides architecture and engineer support of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Services.
  • Maintains and configures Azure environment including SSO, permissions, virtual machines, storage accounts, etc.
  • Ensures that the InnovAge Server, Virtualization, and Storage environment is current within industry guidelines.
  • Ensures that backup and recovery are in place including requirements for Disaster Recovery.
  • Collaborates with vendors, contractors, and other internal teams in order to support all InnovAge applications.
  • Supports technology projects as required, while providing minimal disruption to operational systems.
  • Assists with and supports new facility builds and Merger and Acquisition projects including site visits, site surveys, data migrations, AD and file share configurations, application installations and implementation, network and phone cutovers, vendor management, etc.
  • Assists with department planning in collaboration with other IT professionals as required.
  • Maintains and audits all documentation as it relates to the configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts, etc.
  • Responds to, resolves and minimizes adverse impacts to the business caused by errors in the IT infrastructure, assists with actions used to prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Monitors and reports current resource utilization and errors in the data and storage environment on an ongoing basis.
  • Assists with asset management which includes the maintenance of component asset inventory and related documentation/technical specifications.
  • Adheres to all InnovAge compliance and information security policies, practices and procedures which include the handling of systems and data.
  • Performs ongoing monitoring, analysis, trending and reporting of current utilization levels and estimates future requirements using trends and thresholds for planning upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensures that management is aware of all known and identified risks to system availability, performance, reliability etc.
  • Assists with determining policy and procedures for server, storage and virtual infrastructures.
  • Provides Tier III technical support, training, documentation, and direction to peers at all levels including end users and Tier I/II/III staff.  Collaboratively working with all Tiers and teams mentoring, teaching and training at all opportunities, while developing and maintaining standard procedures for proper support tier escalations.

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of experience providing data/storage network enterprise services and infrastructure support/implementation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in enterprise architecture, system design, capacity planning, HA/DR, enterprise environment monitoring, maintenance, administration, and engineering.
  • Current experience with NAS/SAN data storage devices such as NetApp, Dell, etc.; converged technologies such as Nutanix, Cohesity, etc. and traditional compute such as HPE servers.
  • Current experience administering and maintaining VMware virtual environments and technologies.
  • Current experience with Microsoft technologies and products including AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO, Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, etc.
  • Current experience working with Cloud technologies including deployment, implementation, data migration, and monitoring.
  • Experience architecting, designing, implementing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft 365 components and features including, but not limited to, Exchange Online, Skype for Business online, SP online, Dynamics CRM online.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, diverse environment and managing multiple tasks and projects in order to maintain system availability and resiliency.
  • Two (2) years or more Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Experience working in the Healthcare Industry.

Digital Communications Lead

Field Communications Lead  – BPX

The bpx Digital Communications Owner will manage the full portfolio of bpx’s wireless, cellular and microwave systems and serve as a liaison between Information Technology, Field Technology, Upstream Operations, and Midstream Operations groups to design, enhance, implement, maintain, support and troubleshoot bpx Energy’s telecommunications infrastructure.   The bpx Digital Communications Owner will be expected to actively lead and manage the planning and execution of various telecommunications infrastructure projects that meet stakeholder expectations in budget, timeline, quality and safety and to stay updated on the latest advancements in telecommunications technologies to ensure futureproof solutions are implemented for field communications. This role requires the ability to work with network engineers, field operations leaders, digital security, facility and infrastructure teams across multiple functions to gather specifications for improvements, enhancements, processes and tools along with the ability to lead and implement various telecommunications solutions working with geographically distributed teams and equipment. The bpx Digital Communications Owner will be expected to know how to manage and operate the Hitachi Tropos mesh communications system and Cambium point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, coordinate multiple teams, drive outcomes and lead contractors to ensure the proper evolution of bpx Energy’s field area networks. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing bpx Energy’s Tropos mesh communication systems, Cambium point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communications equipment and LTE networks 
  • Accountable for the direct performance monitoring of wireless, cellular, microwave, data core and corresponding backhaul networks  
  •  
  • Responsible for managing project teams and vendors for new communications installations and ensuring proper integration of new devices into bpx’s network
  • Responsible for reviewing proposals from telecommunication system vendors, preparing vendor technical clarifications and reviewing engineering drawings that show device locations, cable routing layouts, power sources, device installation details, interconnection diagrams, etc. 
  • Responsible for investigating applicable emerging and leading-edge wireless technologies that can address gaps in system operations and requirements and reduce OPEX and deferment
  • Responsible for managing Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing, tower leases, and tower equipment modifications and installations
  • Responsible for being aware of updates to relevant wireless technology regulations as they pertain to field operations and digital security
  • Responsible for firmware upgrades of field equipment to meet digital security standards
  • Responsible for IP management for all field communications devices and ensuring that IP addresses are assigned to relevant parties in a timely manner
  • Responsible for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for all telecommunications systems in order to demonstrate and defend performance quality to various stakeholders, specifically leveraging Network management Systems (NMS) and Manager of Manager (MOM) technologies
  • Possess a general understanding of data analysis techniques and be able to design, develop and maintain models that provide insight on platform performance
  • Leverage the DevOps framework to monitor and improve field area network performance to meet business requirements and address performance objectives

Education:

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in operating and managing relevant digital communications networks
  • Extensive experience with Tropos networks, Cambium radios, LTE networks and the SuprOS Communication Network Management System
  • Extensive understanding of serial communications systems and remote terminal unit (RTU) and programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations as they pertain to oil and gas infrastructure
  • Extensive experience with Network Operations Centers (NOC) and NMS, NOC monitoring services and other best practices that serve as a first line of defense against network disruptions and failures
  • Familiarization with the application and maintenance of Cisco IE 2000 and 3300 switches
  • Familiarization with telecommunications power systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present results and ideas clearly

We are looking to add an additional team member to our IT Department and presently have an immediate opening to fill the role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Primary responsibilities are network and infrastructure support. We are a fast-growing company and there are many opportunities to contribute to the success of the IT team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Domain/Active Directory Servers and hardware, Windows and Linux based servers as well as storage and backup infrastructures
  • Experience in Virtualization & Cloud computing will be preferred.
  • Participates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology solutions including providing detailed analysis of pros and cons and in-house vs cloud solutions.

  • Travel to other CCRM Network Sites as needed with up to 15% travel
