IT Development Manager

Our client is seeking a strong IT Development Manager who is technical and can lead a team of 20+ developers focused on backend development of financial and payment applications. They will support the functional business side and work closely with front end teams. They have some antiquated systems built in WebMethods that are being migrated. All new development is being done in Java. They will integrate the stack and assist with new development. This will require NO actual development.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years in Dev team mgmt. (Helpful if you come from a development background)
  • Scrum Agile background. (Product Owners act as Scrum Masters but will lean heavily on this Dev Manager). 1 Week Sprints
  • Backend Integration experience
  • Tech Stack: Java/J2EE, WebMethods, Springboot, REST API's

This opportunity is preferred as a contract to hire for the client; however, they will consider a person as fulltime, but please be aware that this will increase the time it takes from interview to start day significantly. Therefore, the client is asking for candidates willing to go contract to hire for 4-6 months initial term.
