  • Personality, Customer Service is HUGE.  Dont have to be an extrovert but cant be the "Scary IT Guy" either.  Some "White Glove" service with Executives. 
  • Main goal is upgrading 18,000 machines to Windows 10 20H2. 
  • SCCM Admin exp is a MUST 
  • He wants a strong "jump right in" guy who can also give opinions as to how things should be accomplished. 
  • The team is Blake, 1 other FTE Rockstar on the team and 1 contractor who is more junior. Supposed to be a team of 4.  (One guy just left) . 
  • No On Call really. They are top tier of support.  Level 1-3 underneath them.  Any issues that require off hours Blake will handle himself.
  • Blake lives in Tulsa, OK,  Bill his boss is in West Virginia. THis role will be FULL REMOTE.  But would prefer they are close to Denver if possible.  Will look at anywhere but Denver ppl will get 1st looks. 
  • Ideally they would have a Bachelors Degree.  But not a MUST
  • Should have VMware exp OR Intune/Autopilot.  Doesnt need both.  
  • Need to have enterprise b-ground.  (10k machines Not 800). 
  • First 30 Days will be ramp up and learn.  
  • Blake Not a Micro Manager

We are searching for a Windows System Administrator (Contractor Only) to work with the Enterprise Device Management (EDM) team, which is responsible for all Windows workstation devices across the enterprise.

We develop the standard images for physical machines, create software installation packages, patch the machines regularly, administrate the VMware Horizon environment, and provide top-tier support to the rest of Dish IT when troubleshooting issues.

This position will assist with a couple of major projects early in the year, along with helping with day-to-day activities. Interviews will be conducted with the EDM manager (Blake Howell) and the Windows Sr. Manager (Bill Parish), along with any technical resources. Blake Howell will then select the best fitting candidate on the team, from both a technical and cultural fit. Blake will provide feedback to staffing agencies for any candidates interviewed.

Role: System Administrator

Experience:
· 3 years minimum, 5 years desired experience

· VMware Horizon administration

· SCCM administration

· InTune/Autopilot Experience

· End User Computing support in large corporate windows environment (AD, GPO’s)

 

Duties:
· Administrating the VMware Horizon environment

· Assisting with upgrade from vCenter 6.5 to vCenter 7

· Upgrading enterprise from Windows 10 1909 to Windows 10 20H2

· Monthly workstation patching through SCCM/ConfigManager across the enterprise

· Out-of-Cycle patching for security remediation

· Review and management of Active Directory and associated global policies

· Consult on resourcing plan to identify gaps and weaknesses in current EDM team setup

 

Tableau Server Administrator

We are looking for an administrator, someone who has been hands on in support, user admin access, etc.

We are on the lookout for a strong Tableau server administrator. This candidate’s Tableau experience seems to be centered more around development of reports and dashboards rather than server administration. We do not require Tableau developers as most of the development is handled by the business stake holders themselves.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Tableau Server Administrator will be a member of the Enterprise Data Warehouse team that manages and provides administration support for Tableau. The candidate will support Tableau platform ensuring functionality, accessibility and security of the platform as well as plan, schedule, perform patching, and make upgrades to the platform. They will also be responsible for performing system backup and recovery procedures. Additional duties are as follows:

  • Monitor the Tableau server and analyze utilization patterns for user feedback, management reporting and future planning.
  • Forecast utilization patterns and recommends capacity changes.
  • Track Tableau server license compliance.
  • Track and reports system performance metrics.
  • Establish and maintain performance baselines, troubleshoot performance issues and provide recommendations/fixes for identified issues.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement and automation of tasks.
  • Assist users with development and optimization of Tableau workbooks for optimal performance.

Skill Requirements:

  • In-depth experience with design & development of Workbook Dashboards, and Data Sources through Tableau Desktop
  • Ability to recommend best practices of development and optimize dashboards.
  • Hands on Experience on Tableau Architecture for Tableau 9.x/10.x/2018.x
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau Server platform and server-side functionalities.
  • Experience on Tableau Administration including Install and upgrade in a distributed enterprise environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance diagnosis and optimization. Be able to analyze system resource utilization, bottlenecks and plan platform capacity sizing.
  • Experienced in tabcmd/tsm command-line functions.
  • Experience with automation and deployment of data sources/workbooks across environment, alerts via scripting.
  • Experience and familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools/commands ( TabMon, PerfMon, LogShark, VizAlerts)
  • Experienced in communicating with Tableau support and resolving issues.
  • Experience with Tableau Admin Views.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with at least 2 years of focused Tableau administration experience and total 4+ years of Tableau experience in an IT Department, preferably within a Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Team and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis and creating data sets from multiple source systems
  • Experience with implementing new tools and technologies and maintaining them.
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies
  • Knowledge in data sciences.
  • Experience working within the Telco/Cable/Satellite industry a definite plus
  • Excellent Communication and Documentation skills
