Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy with a strong background in sports marketing to lead our marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will drive our brand strategy, oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, and enhance our market presence through innovative and effective strategies tailored to our industry. This position will be onsite on AAG grounds. We are open to relocating a candidate to Arizona.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy:
    • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives.
    • Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the sports industry.
    • Translate business goals into marketing strategies that drive growth and brand awareness.
  2. Partner with Social Media Team (Digital Marketing and Innovation):
    • Partner with social media professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
    • Provide guidance and support for campaign development, digital marketing initiatives, and brand management.
    • Help drive digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
    • Stay current with digital marketing trends and tools, implementing innovative strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  3. Brand Management and Positioning:
    • Define and communicate our brand identity across all channels.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual representation of the brand.
    • Monitor and analyze brand performance and market trends to adjust strategies as needed.
  4. Campaign Development and Execution:
    • Conceptualize and oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, F&B, sports division leaders) to ensure campaign alignment and effectiveness.
    • Measure and analyze campaign performance, optimizing strategies for maximum ROI.
  5. Partnership and Sponsorship Management:
    • Develop and nurture relationships with key partners and stakeholders in the sports industry.
    • Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements and promotional partnerships to enhance brand exposure and revenue opportunities.
    • Partner with the AAG sales team to accomplish company wide revenue goals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing role with a focus on sports marketing.
  • Strong understanding of sports industry trends, consumer behavior, and marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for sports and a drive for continuous innovation.
