The Distribution Manager II is responsible for administration, receiving, pack out, inventory accuracy, warehouse management, and shipping activities for the distribution location.  Ensures a high level of safety, quality, efficiency, employee satisfaction, overall customer service/satisfaction, adequate staffing levels, training, internal and external growth, and maximization of asset utilization to achieve company goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Manage distribution staff, including adherence to safety, security, procedural, and other DISH policies and procedures
  • Standardize administrative, receiving, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely access to materials and products
  • Initiates organizational change and process improvement for effective and efficient team operations
  • Participates in development of annual budgets including meeting deadlines and utilizing company resources effectively
  • Manages and develops cross functional relationships and strategies to support organizational goals and objectives
  • Oversees hiring, training and recruiting needs. Manages the employee performance appraisal process
  • Coaches employees and provides developmental opportunities; providing opportunities for growth and purpose
  • Provides accurate and clear communication in both written and verbal forms. Delegates effectively and shares knowledge
  • Facilitates communication, innovation, and collaboration to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Travels to meet with suppliers, customers, industry leaders and attends company events or meetings as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required

The Engineering Manager will drive excellence by providing leadership, technical expertise and employee mentorship for team members in Denver, CO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Program Manager(s) for development of enterprise wide, complex projects  around mechanized machinery and automation that supports efficient product pack-out and distribution.
  • Manage the evaluation of a variety of factors (e.g., reporting formats, cost limitations, security restrictions, etc.) to determine optimal product configuration and optimal processing efficiency of DISH product.
  • Oversee maintenance and engineering functions at a DISH distribution site.
  • Build key competencies of team members through training, experience, and collaboration.
  • Design and implement testing, packing, and processing methodology, as well as prepare and maintain documentation centered around product distribution.
  • Coordinate activities for single focus groups, especially technical groups.
  • Set group goals around key maintenance and engineering metrics and evaluate group performance at enterprise wide level.
  • Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, budgeting, and delegating.
  • Use continuous improvement tools and methodologies to drive systemic improvements in machine output, performance, and reliability.
  • Drive a team that is high-performing and immediately responsive to customer needs.  
  • Fashion larger, technically-challenge engineering challenges into smaller, manageable projects to drive equipment reliability metrics to meet uptime goals.  Help define acceptable output and uptime by coordinating efforts with sister sites.
  • Use and leverage technical expertise from other sites to drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, training and development, etc.
  • Enforce standards, policies, and procedures

IT Development Manager

IT Development Manager – Dish 

Dish is seeking a strong IT Development Manager who is tachnical and honds on to lead a team of 20 developers focused on backend development of fianncail and payment applications.  They will support the functional business side and work closely with front end teams. They have some antiquted systems built in WebMethods that are being migrated ot Java/J2ee.  All new development is being done in Java.  They will integrate the stack. and assit with new development. This will require NO actual development. 

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years in Dev team mgmt.  (Helpful if they come from a development background) 
  • Scrum Agile b-ground. (Product Owners act as Srum Masters but will elan heavily on this Dev Manager). 1 Week Sprints 
  • Backend Integration experience
